International Cooperation





1. TACI is a full member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) since 24 Apr 1926. As the governing body of motorsport worldwide and the representative of 60 million road and track users from over 230 member clubs, FIA has been dedicated to representing the rights of motoring organizations and motor car users throughout the world via campaigns and activities that defend their interests. On issues such as safety, mobility, the environment and consumer law, the FIA actively promotes the interests of motorists at the United Nations, within the European Union and through other international bodies.

2. TACI is a member club of the FIA Region I office, based in Brussels, which is representing 108 Motoring and Touring Clubs and their 38 million members from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The FIA Region I office aims; Firstly, to provide strong representation of European Member Club interests towards the European Union institutions - for example on road safety, consumer protection, environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable motoring; Secondly, to build up links and support the exchange of best practices between 108 Member Clubs across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and;Thirdly, to engage in new campaign activities together with Automobile Clubs throughout the region, such as the FIA Action for Road Safety campaign.

3. TACI is a member of The Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT),which represents the interests of national automobile associations and touring clubs.This century of experience at the service of its member associations has grown to include many different areas of activity relating to travel and mobility.Although the AIT does not deal directly with the public, its services are far-reaching and include mutual assistance agreements between its member associations for the benefit of these associations' individual members.
